A college campus is the rational organization of outdoor spaces and systems and includes pavements, walls, fences, lawns, trees, shrubs, utilities, irrigation, signs, furniture, lighting, and structures.  Discusses their firm's campus assessment, which provides a way to evaluate the character, condition, and maintenance of the campus; to compare those findings with an institution's mission, objectives, and budget; and to take action to bring the former in line with the latter.  Describes trends in campus development, how trends affect an institution's image, and the campus assessment process.  Includes campus landscape maintenance tips.
