Submetering involves individual building level metering in a centrally metered campus environment or metering of individual loads within a building that already has one or more revenue meters installed. Describes submetering, its integration into comprehensive energy information systems, and case studies of large scale metering and energy information system projects by the Texas LoanStar program, Texas A&M, and University of Texas Medical Branch-Galveston, and benefits of such systems.
