"Energy Management: Money in the Bank"

Faced with old chillers, "bad" refrigerants, code compliance, sight-line conflicts, and energy (mis)management, the University of Utah had a vision of energy management that could accomodate future growth and become a model for the industry. Describes process of bringing vision to reality, beginning in 1997 with cross-departmental project team and progressing through a technical audit, state approval, construction, and completion of a new chiller plant and retrofits.
