Discusses the U.S. Army Construction Engineering Research Laboratory development of a personal computer based facility maintenance prediction model for the Department of the Army. This simulation model will predict the actual activities over any specified ten-year planning period and calculate all labor, equipment, material and dollar resources required to support the maintenance plan. Model could also be used on campuses. Discusses current forecasting methods, alternative prediction models, model implementation, computer system development, and testing on housing facilities.
