Report of UNC Charlotte's Effective & Innovative Practices award-winning activities. Describes how the university increased its successful recycling program to include construction and demolition waste generated by the ever-expanding campus. Since the inception of the new recycling effort, the campus has recycled and reused more than 2.1 million pounds of material, saving contractors $8,750 in tipping fees, diverting more than 700,000 pounds from landfill, and reducing CO2 emissions.
