Report on activities of North Carolina State University, a recipient of APPA's 2007 Award for Excellence. More than 800 Facilities Division employees provide design, construction, maintenance, and operation services for the 2,200 acres main campus. The Division pursues work around goals of I Care--Integrity, Commitment, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence. Activities include meeting frequently with customers to understand their expectations, using surveys and benchmarking, and clearly defining leadership and delegation of responsibilities. The division has developed enforceable standards to ensure optimum operational performance, well-constructed built environment, and well-kep landscape and follows the university's physical master plan goals. Includes photo of staff receiving their Award for Excellence at the APPA 2007 meeting in Baltimore, Maryland in July.
