Membership Matters column. Discusses why APPA decided to introduce an Educational Facilities Professionals Certification, including the changing demographic of the profession. Outlines the process of developing the certification program. APPA currently offers the Educational Facilities Professional certification, intended to serve facilities professionals who may be fairly recent entrants into the profession. Beginning in 2008, APPA will offer the Certified Educational Facilities Professional certification, which will recognize more seasoned facilities professionals for their vast knowledge of facilities management. Includes list of members of the Educational Facilities Professionals Certification Board of Directors.
