Executive Summary column. Reviews APPA's mission, which has continued since its founding in 1914, of sharing industry information among educational professionals.  Describes how changes in the world--from greater diversity in the profession to the demand for immediate resource/research information--create new challenges for APPA.  In order to ensure APPA was effectively meeting its members' changing needs, the association conducted quantitative and qualitative member surveys. As a result, APPA developed 7 Key Strategies critical to its future as the association of choice for educational facilities professionals.
