"A Strategic Redesign for APPA"

Executive Summary column. Reports on the quantitative and qualitative research surveys APPA conducted in October 2005 to assess perceptions of institutional members regarding APPA and its value to both chief facilities officers and mid-level managers. As reported in the surveys, APPA's strengths include its educational efforts and networking opportunities. As a result of the surveys, APPA conducted a facilitated session to clarify the association's strategic plan and develop steps to achieve the desired outcome. These include developing and executing a "branding" program, expanding research, providing cutting edge educational progams, and establishing credible credentialing programs.
