California State University Long Beach estimates a 10-percent increase in productivity through the implementation of new maintenance management software that allows technicians to enter their time through handheld wireless devices for more accurate time accounting. Provides case study, discussing decision making process and results in enhancing automated preventive maintenance, reducing nonproductive time, and integrating space management system with maintenance orders to charge appropriate department.
