Executive Summary column. Medlin remembers Charlie Jenkins, who died November 14, 2004.  Recalling Jenkins' writings, teachings, and conversations, Medlin describes several themes that emerge about her leadership.  These include "facilities managers must move from being just great maintainers of things to becoming great leaders of people" and "leadership is about mutal trust, respect, and confidence."  Medlin calls Jenkins her "buddy, mentor, teacher, and role model."  Expands on the Franklin Covey mission of "to live, to learn, to love, to leave a legacy," and how it applied to Jenkins.
