News items on the receipt of APPA's 1996 Meritorious Service Award by Patrick J. Apel, director of physical plant at Maryville University of St. Louis and Gary L. Reynolds, director of facilities management at Iowa State University, and the receipt of the 1996 Rex Dillow Award for Outstanding Article in Facilities Manager by Ksenia Jaroshevich, director for capital outlawy at the College of William and Mary, and William F. Merck II, vice president for administration and finance at the University of Central Florida, for their article "Pre-Design Planning," which appeared in the Summer 1995 theme issue of planning, design, and construction.
