"Needed: A University Garage Sale"

Focus on Management column. Sometimes thinks a gigantic university yard sale would be useful in getting rid of items that are still functional but no longer used. Fear is that his institution's own faculty will attend and will simply swap items without opening up any new storage space. If this worked correctly, for once he might hear a dean or department head say, "I don't have any space needs--especially for storage."
