"Notes on Mounting a Wild Goose Chase"
Author: Bingham, Harry S.
Published In: Facilities Manager
Date: January 1996
Author describes how he dealt with the problem of Canadian geese at a New Jersey university after he realized the geese were primarily grazing animals. Instituted a program of passive harassment when the geese landed near a campus pond. Considered leasing border collies as others had done but then created a radio controlled mechanical dog and later boat that could serve as mock predators. Due to production errors, article was reprinted from Fall 1995 issue (11:4).
