"Assessing the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Criteria for Education"
Author: Mulligan, Kathleen
Published In: Facilities Manager
Date: January 1996
Provides background on the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award and its award criteria. Discusses the Education Pilot Criteria 1995 and compares it to the business criteria. Concludes that the 1995 Education Pilot Criteria focus so extensively upon teaching and learning that they are not effective as an evaluation tool for a facilities operation and suggests the Baldrige Award Criteria as more suitable as a tool for organizational self-assessment and measuring one's progress in quality facilities management. Includes diagrams comparing the framework of each award.
