Referencing a Winter 1992 Facilities Manager article on the importance of establishing a proactive recycling program, this article describes taking the next step and providing solid waste or recycling managers with a decision-making model that can be used to determine which materials to recycle and how to prioritize your approach to them. Includes a figure of the model structured to assist managers in identifying key issues and learning more about the products that flow through the university. Identifies steps and questions to ask at each stage.
