Colleges and universities are helping students and other visitors navigate their facilities, sometimes even before they arrive on campus.  Details Penn State University's $1 million wayfinding program, including such on-site solutions as boundary markers, vehicular directional signs, customized camps maps, and building identification signs.  Describes University of Virginia Health System's online wayfinding system to help visitors find more than 40 locations scattered across seven counties in rural Virginia.  At Lawrence Technological University, solar lighting and use of unique alloy metals reflect school's technological focus.  At Wayne State University College of Pharmacy and Allied Health, electronic kiosks will display map directories.
