Describes the recycling program at Miami University (Ohio) that has been in full-scale operation since January 1991. Includes rationale behind the effort, including Physical Facilites Department studies and an Institute of Environmental Science graduate students' analysis of campus solid waste that learned that more than 40 percent of the refuse generated on campus was recyable.
