Reviews examples of workplace violence and emphasizes that workplace violence is more complex than an employee suddenly appearing at his or her workplace with the intention of killing other employees. Defines workplace violence as violent acts, including physical assualts and threats of assault, directed toward persons at work or on duty or against workplace property. Examines roots and cycle of violence and workplace violence prevention, including training, incident management team, and threat management. Lists selected references.
