"Appendix B: The Benchmarking Process"
Author: Qayoumi, Mohammad H.
Published In: Benchmarking and Organizational Change
Date: 2000

To identify what needs to be benchmarked, it is important to concentrate on a few areas.  Benchmarking is not collecting a set of numbers or the act of copying others.  Outlines basics of continuous improvement, steps for developing a measurement process, and the benchmark process.  A more detailed ten-step benchmarking process is presented in Appendix C.
