Service and stewardship are the foundation of every institutional facilities organization.  Service is the support provided to the campus customers as needed and on request.  Stewardship is the role of the guardian of the university's physical facilities assets.  Discusses importance of stewardship in meeting institution's long-term needs, communication tools, and calculating stewardship requirements for staffing.  Concludes best practices dictate that service demand-side management be changed to supply-side control.
