Demonstrates storage compatibility with CFC, non-CFC, and absorption chillers and the potential to meet cooling load growth without the need to add of modify chillers. Describes dual-service applications for thermal storage and for fire protection per NFPA and Factory Mutual. Covers physical sizing criteria for storage, design and operation issues, maintenance issues, above ground versus below ground storage, steel versus concrete construction, aesthetic consideration and architectural options, and capital cost savings.
