A central requirement in modifying older buildings is the necessity of considering the actual needs of a wide range of people who will use the building, including those with mobility handicaps, with full or partial loss of sight or hearing, and with a variety of other activity limitations.  Covers the mythical "average man", designing total access systems, and preservtion standards and accessibility.
