In 1982, an assessment was made of the physical facilities at Kentucky State University as part of the state's public higher education desegregation plan. A campus physical facilities inventory was also undertaken with the objective of promoting facility development in support of the university's redefined mission. Finding the results of the inventory grim, $22 million was appropriated to improve facilities. Discusses the funding and planning to establish maintenance of the university's physical assets.
