An organization's ability to maintain a facility with limited resources is mainly dependent upon the design of the facility, the resources available, and the in-house organization and procedures.  Describes some of the facility design concerns of the maintenance organization, including  equipment accesibility, adequate space for maintenance and repair, and durable equipment; in-house versus contracted maintenance; preventive maintenance; facilities inspection programs; and long-range repair and renovation planning.
