Committed to reducing its backlog of deferred maintenance, Swarthmore College launched an ambitious program of catchup with the involvement of a project management firm.  Covers needs assessment, decision to hire management firm, integrating extended staff, work plan and implementation, and conclusions and recommendations.  Emphasizes the importance of an accurate needs assessment, developing productive relationships and communication, and developing a training program for the continued rehabilitation of deferred maintenance items.
