Describes facilities problems at the Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, California and how a property committee was formed after the 1989 earthquake further added to safety concerns. Property committee members represented nearby Lutheran congregations. With help from Lilly, a facilities audit was conducted; major gifts campaign resulted in funds for immediate maintenance needs and an endowment to keep seminary in first-class operating condition.
