Discusses asbestos and polychlorinated biophenyls (PCBs).  At this time, colleges and universities are not yet subject to regulations requiring the removal of asbestos from their facilities, but such regulations may not be far off.  PCBs, used in electrical transformers, are regulation by the EPA under the Toxic Substance Control Act.  Discusses Asbestos Hazard Emergency Reponse Act, OSHA abestos standard, asbestos training and housekeeping and PCB regulations, marking requirements, storage requirements, temporary storage criteria, and record-keeping requirements.
