APPA News article on selection of Pieter J. van der Have by Board of Directors as 1997-98 APPA President following the July 8 death of President-Elect Thomas F. Vacha. Van der Have, director of plant operations at the University of Utah, then serving a second term as APPA Vice President for Information Services, was selected from a small pool of recent candidates.
