Reliability is the probability that a system is operating correctly at any given time.  Discusses reliability requirements and standards and methods for determining system reliability.  Preventive maintenance is the anticipation and correction of possible equipment failure before it occurs.  Discusses a shutdown plan, a key factor for a successful PM program.  Also recommends specific care for switches, transformers, bus bars, insulators and arrestors, fuses, bus ducts, motor control centers, motors and generators, and circuit breakers.
