Switches are circuit interrupting devices that can make, break, or modify the connection in an electrical network.  Circuit breakers aer switching devices that can make, carry, and interrupt the circuit under normal and abnormal conditions.  Describes the circuit interruption process.  Examines the following types of  circuit breakers: air circuit, air-magnetic oil, vacuum, sulfur hexafluoride, and air blast.  Also discusses interrupter switches and metal-enclosed and metal-clad switchgear.
