Auxiliary enterprises are those that furnish services directly or indirectly to students, faculty, and/or staff and that charge a fee related to--but not necessarily equal to--the cost of the service.  Examples include housing, food service, and campus bookstores. Covers physical plant operations' relationship with auxiliary services, and discusses budget control, organization variations, program planning, and special services.
