An important aspect of that campus experience is the quality of the natural environment, and trees play a central role in defining the campus landscape. How trees are managed on campuses impacts many aspects of institutional operations, ranging from safety to sustainability to energy and infrastructure costs. The recommendations presented come from research conducted under the auspices of the Center for Facilities Research.
