Posits that while change is essential to any improvement effort, higher education institutions are highly resistant to internal change, creating difficulties for the necessary improvements needed for facilities management excellence. Provides a case study of how Bryn Mawr College has been shifting its culture from the traditional model to a more stewardship approach. Provides a list of recommended readings.
