"NFPA 90A Revises Standards for HVAC Systems"

Alerts members to revision of new code requirements that will have an impact on their facilities.  The National Fire Protection Association's Standard for the Installation of Air-Conditioning and Ventilating Systems (NFPA 90A) is being revised and the committee responsible for this standard have published their first report.  Encourages APPA to direct comments to the NFPA and offer guidance or challenge the committee. Describes the issues especially pertinent to APPA members: smoke dampers in large HVAC lines, removal of abandoned cable,combination fire/smoke dampers, dampers in smoke partitions, and smoke and fire damper testing.
