Paper presented at an EPA workshop on waste management to colleges and universities, held in Madison, Wisconsin, July 1980. Based on experiences of the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign, which has had an established collection system for campus-wide pickup of waste chemicals since 1973. Discusses ways and means to identify the persons or departments on campus who are generating such waste by advertising the chemical waste disposal service, keeping track of chemical storeroom purchases, and monitoring research projects. Chart lists possible wastes from crafts and services.
