With recent technological developments, energy management has changed dramatically but has often been replaced by asbestos abatement, CFCs, and deferred maintenance as a campus priority. Advises giving energy management the priority it deserves and shows the results of 3 energy management innovations at Baylor College of Medicine: energy efficient lighting, power factor correction, and variable speed motor control on pumps and cooling tower fans.
