"Deferred Maintenance: A Rose By Any Other Name"

Reports that the definition of deferred maintenance varies from campus to campus. Asks APPA members to allow their definition of deferred maintenance to be modified to fit a national mold for the purpose of future APPA surveys and inventories. To this end, APPA and NACUBO will conduct a joint facilities survey that will be the first comprehensive study of capital renewal/deferred maintenance needs in higher education since the early 1970s.
